How to maintain the Lipo battery?

Battery Connectors

Soldering battery connectors may be a big nuisance, so choose a battery connector that you like and stick with it. This makes battery swapping simple, and if you wish to build another drone in the future, you can reuse the same cells. Deans/Tplug, XT60, and EC3 connections are examples of common connectors.

Number of batteries

The quantity of batteries you choose to put on your drone makes little difference in the end because there are advantages and disadvantages to employing more batteries. To begin with, employing additional batteries adds an extra degree of safety since if one battery fails, you still have another that you can use to land swiftly. Also, if you have the option of replacing one battery if one becomes older than the other. Charging time can be cut in half if you have two chargers that can charge at the same time. However, mounting and wiring two batteries might be more difficult, and purchasing two batteries can often be more expensive than purchasing one.

So, ultimately, whether you use one or many batteries depends on the drone you're flying and your own preferences. After reading this article, you should understand how to select a Lipo battery. Our website recommends certain Lipo batteries; if you need to purchase Lipo batteries, you may do so here.

How to maintain the Lipo battery?

Before charging, please read the charger instruction book.

Before each charge session, always check the voltage of the batteries to verify they are at or above the minimum safe starting voltage. If the starting voltage is less than the required level, the batteries have been overcharged or have failed and should not be charged.

Before charging, always inspect the battery for any signs of damage. Examine the battery container, wiring, and connectors for flaws that might lead to a short circuit and eventual battery failure.Check that the charge leads you're using are compatible with the battery connections.

To avoid a short circuit, the user should carefully verify the polarity of the battery cable and charger lead before connecting.

Always check that the charger is in excellent working order. A faulty charger might be hazardous.

It is entirely your duty to ensure that the charger you use is in good working order. Always keep an eye on the charging process to ensure that the batteries are adequately charged. Failure to do so might lead to a fire.

Charging

Use only chargers made for lithium polymer/Lion batteries. Use an NIMH/NICD/LIFEPO4/LEAD ACID charger instead. If the charger is capable of supporting many battery types. Make certain that the charger is set to Lithium polymer (Lipo) mode. Failure to do so may result in a fire, resulting in personal harm and property loss.

Always charge batteries in a well-ventilated place away from flammable objects, liquids, and surfaces.Batteries should never be charged inside the model.Never charge batteries below zero degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit).Never charge a battery that is hot to the touch (more than 100°F). DO NOT USE BATTERIES UNTIL THEY HAVE COOLED.Always set the charger to the correct cell count and/or voltage specified on the battery labels.Always set the charger to the amp charge rate specified on the battery's label.

Unless another C rate is mentioned in the manufacturer's product documentation or the rate is fixed as part of a specific battery and charger combination, the charger should never be configured to charge Batteries at a rate more than 1C (one (1) times the capacity of Batteries in amp hours). Once charging has commenced, DO NOT CHANGE THE CHARGE RATE.

We have a number of lithium battery PACK production lines, aging, capacity division and other production equipment and a large number of experienced industrial workers.
